Manglacharan (Morning Prayer)
Om sah nava vatu, Sah nau bhunaktu, Sah viryam karava vahai, Tejas-vina-vadhi tamastu, Ma vidhvisha-vahai Om Shanti, shanti, shanti
May the Absolute Lord protect us both (the teacher and the taught). May we enjoy (the teaching) together. May we gain strength together. May the study be illuminating. May we not misunderstand each other. Om Peace, peace, peace.
Krishna (God)
Mukam karoti vaachaalam, Pangum langhayate girim Yatkripa tamaham vande, Parmanandam-madhavam
I worship Supreme Bliss Madhava (Lord Krishna), by whose grace a dumb becomes an eloquent speaker and lame becomes capable of climbing a mountain.
Guru (Teacher)
Gurur-brahma gurur-vishnuh, Gurur-devo maheshvarah Gurur-sakshat para brahma, Tasmai sri-gurave namah
Teacher (Guru) is Lord Brahma (the Creator); he is Lord Vishnu (the Sustainer); he is Lord Maheshvara (the Destroyer). The teacher himself is the Supreme Reality. To that teacher I bow.
Sarasvati (Goddess of Knowledge)
Saraswati namastubhyam, Varade kama-rupini Vidya-rambham karishyami, Siddhir-bhavatu me sadaa
O Goddess Saraswati of enchanting form, I humbly bow to thee. I am starting my studies. Let there always be good accomplishment in my pursuit of learning.
Vallabha (Teacher)
Agyaana-timir-andhasya gyaananjana shalakaya Chakshur-unmilitan yane tasmai Shriguruve Namha
I bow to my gurudev (Shri Vallabh) who is capable of giving me knowledge of spiritual and physical world. It is like a path of light to live the life (to conquer the darkness).
