MATCHING GRANTS
Many major corporations have two types of programs to encourage their employees to be charitable and to inspire them to volunteer their time for non-profit organizations.
When an employee makes financial contribution to a qualified non-profit organization, the employer matches employee’s contribution up to a certain specified limit.
Also, some corporations contribute to non-profit organizations based on number of hours of volunteer service the employee provided to that non-profit.
Both of the above require an employee to fill out prescribed forms and get the non-profit acknowledge and mail the form to the corporation.
